As a passionate advocate for Arts Education in the schools through Ontario, Prologue to the Performing Arts feels it has a responsibility to support all artists interested in working in schools. 

Having developed strong relations with the key players for nearly 50 years, we are in a unique position to facilitate exchanges between artists and arts education stakeholders. 

I invite you to read the summary of Prologue’s latest installment of our Artist Exchange series: Performing in schools – What works, what doesn’t OR How to navigate the Education System. Our 2-hour open discussion featured Christine Jackson (TDSB Program Coordinator), artist Mike Ford (one of Prologue’s most in-demand artists), Yvonne Kelly (Community resource facilitator) and Rina Singh (a very proactive teacher), both from York Region.

Artists and stakeholders from different disciplines attended, including a few Prologue artists, staff members and myself.
