Stage Management & Technical Production

This workshop explores several skills that stage managers cultivate and use everyday including: problem solving, scheduling, working with professional theatre agreements, leadership, collaboration, and communication.
Presentation of each skill set will be followed by discussion, talking through real-life situations, and students will be asked to draft a few simple documents to show their understanding of the material.
Cost: $510 for up to 50 students.
About Kat Chin
Kat Chin is a Toronto based CAEA stage manager. She works on plays, operas and musicals. She has taught Advanced Stage Management at the Ryerson School of Performance, and the session on How To Create a Prompt Book & Call a Show at the Stage Managing the Arts in Canada Conference. She is a member of the CAEA Stage Management Committee and the US Stage Managers Association International Cohort. She was recently a member of the “Defining the Stage Manager” panel at the 2020 US SMA National Collaborators Conference.
