Audience Maximum:

The Mask Messenger is an astonishing revelation of the power of dramatic art. Using masks made by the company, some 20 or more character changes baffle the eye and tickle the funny bone. Audiences are in turn, spellbound, touched, sent into gales of laughter – and instructed!
Quirky oversized silent masks, charming half-masked characters that speak and an awesome crawling creature mask that is worn on top of the head displays the performer’s superb quick-change artistry. The Mask Messenger is an engaging mix of monologue, physical comedy and theatre; with the flick of an eyebrow, the gesture of an arm, the disposition of the chest, the performer instantly embodies an extraordinary range of moods and personalities. The performance provokes reflection on body language and the cultural/psychological masks we wear daily, and audiences are delighted to see how much they become a part of the performance.
