Tales from an Empty Fridge is a touching story about an older man named Jasper who reconnects with his artistic past. There is no dialogue in the performance, yet Jasper’s story is vividly told through music, movement of the puppets, props and sets. It is with understated brilliance that Waterwood Theatre Projects lets the cello, jazz, ragtime music and soulful puppets tell this tale. Young audiences are taken on a journey of discovery as Jasper learns that his cupboards are bare and his bills are accumulating. Despite his troubles, Jasper paints, gardens and dances to keep his spirits up. Jasper learns that doing what he loves most is the key to his happiness.
