Taonga (Treasures) is an energetic and visually stunning performance which celebrates the unique traditions of New Zealand's Maori culture. The performance is brought to life through stunning choreography, music and song. The distinct treasures of the Maori are made real to students through action songs as the famous haka (warrior dance) and other Maori songs and dances that use traditional implements and colourful costumes.

People of the Pacific is a dazzling, rhythmic spectacle, bringing to life the traditional songs and dances of New Zealand’s Maori and neighbouring South Pacific cultures. In addition to pieces from New Zealand, students will be thrilled by the choreography, music and colourful costumes from Tahiti, Hawaii, Samoa and the Cook Islands.

Kahurangi Maori Dance Theatre Workshops

In addition to a full dance theatre performance, members of Kahurangi Maori Dance Theatre offer students a comprehensive introduction to the Maori People of New Zealand and the people of the Pacific through an interactive dance and music workshop.

- Request for gymnasium to be heated night before performance
