Famous for their musical skills and innovation throughout Vietnam, this Vancouver-based duo take students on a fascinating and exciting journey featuring over a dozen rare and unique instruments native to Vietnam, such as the dan bau (one-stringed zither) and the dan trung (suspended bamboo xylophone).
Their versatile performance includes a combination of classical, folk music from both the mountains and countrysides of Vietnam, and contemporary Vietnamese and world music. The duo fuses education and humour with a dose of audience participation and includes instruments invented by Khac Chi Bamboo Music’s members.
