Musicians Teilhard Frost and Sam Allison are Sheesham and Lotus, the creators of Old Time Ways.
What if you only had one fiddle or mouth organ for a whole family? You would make do with what you had and use hands, feet, voices, spoons, sticks, washboards, old string and wire to create music and dance.
This is what Old Time Ways is all about. In this highly entertaining and surprising presentation, Sheesham and Lotus pass on methods for music making that come from a time when instruments were scarce and mass media unheard of.
Students learn different vocal techniques, ham-bone and even clogging. Unbelievable homemade instruments are used including a gourd banjo! Old Time Ways is a wonderful (and fun) way to experience how we used to live and celebrate first-hand.
