A comic book comes to life! Superheroes in the Schools is a new arts education program that introduces students to contemporary dance and offers them a unique learning opportunity to create and perform their own work with a live DJ.
PERFORMANCE (15 min): In a Single Bound is a fun, funny, visually stimulating and physically exciting work that explores the world of comic books and superheroes.
Q & A: An interactive discussion about performance elements, the creative process students’ interpretations of the performance, and dance in general.
Followed by a 30 minutes WORKSHOP for ALL the students who attended the performance to sample music and create their own superhero duets to a live score.
Students are encouraged to explore their own physical creativity.

- Large open area (16' x 22')
- Access to electrical outlet and one 6' or 8' table
- Minimum room temperature 21°C
- Request for gymnasium to be heated night before performance
