La Cie Vox Théâtre presents a lush, visual extravaganza that incorporates theatre, music and comedy. The story unfolds as Dorothy and her dog Toto, swept away by a terrible cyclone, find themselves far away from Kansas in the wonderful land of Oz. Despite her enchanting new surroundings, Dorothy’s only wish is to return home as soon as possible. While traveling the yellow brick road, she meets the Cowardly Lion who lacks courage, the Tin Woodsman who wishes for a new heart and Scarecrow who dreams of having a new brain. The travelers must face numerous obstacles before their fondest wishes can come true. The story is told through comical narrative monologues, musical and vocal soundscapes, theatre and inventive lighting design and props.
