Bozo’s Fortune, based on Puccini’s short comic opera Gianni Schicchi, is a wickedly funny fable about greedy relatives trying to overturn a will and the trickster who outwits them all. Rich old Uncle Bozo has died and left his fortune to….a cat shelter! The relatives are outraged. Much against their will, they ask Johnny Schicchi, an immigrant and an outsider, to find a way to return Bozo’s fortune to his family. But Johnny is too smart for them. In an action-packed farce that features clowning, puppetry and lush music, prejudice is exposed, avarice is punished and love is triumphant!
