Ottawa – Prologue to the Performing Arts is thrilled to partner with CCI: Ontario Presenting
Network and eyeGo to the Arts to present a forum on integrating the arts into our children’s
lives.
Hosted by Ottawa-based arts education organization MASC, the Forum brings together artists, educators and presenters to coordinate efforts, so that children can benefit from arts experiences. This is the third Forum held in Ontario communities, thanks to a $99,000 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF). Yasir Naqvi, MPP for Ottawa Centre, joined Ontario Trillium Foundation representative Isabel Metcalfe in congratulating Prologue to the Performing Arts.
"Children have such wonderful creative capacity that their education must be more than the three R's,” said MPP Yasir Naqvi. “This partnership will develop a life long appreciation of art and artistic expression for the enrichment of our Ottawa youth."
Established in 1966, Prologue to the Performing Arts is a charitable not for profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of young people by connecting them to high quality performing arts.
“This grant has been instrumental in forging new partnerships in the arts and education sectors to ensure that our children can experience the arts in their schools and communities”, said Executive Director, Susan Habkirk. “We are thankful for the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s commitment to arts and culture.”
